I'm Colette Nguyen, a UX content designer based in Orange County, California.

Why journalism to UX?

I always knew I loved writing. Growing up, I was often writing in a journal and eventually took up other creative outlets like bullet journaling, graphic design, and video editing. After college, I became a Digital Media Editor for a local magazine and an Account Coordinator for a PR agency. And when I discovered that my love for writing & design could be used to create meaningful digital experiences for others, the switch to UX & Content Design only felt natural to me.

As a journalist and designer, I value making connections with others and use empathy to guide my content and design decisions. With my creative background in writing and digital media, you can count on me to thoughtfully craft content that puts users first.

My Hobbies

In my free time, you can find me journaling (of course), crafting cafe drinks at home, writing Yelp reviews of my favorite boba shops, or training to run my first half marathon!

I also love exploring new cities and national parks, experiencing different cultures, and documenting my travels on my Minolta Freedom Zoom and Sony RX100.
